    @dan21 IDK I need to check those.

    @Dan21 (from a couple of days ago)

    Which two statements about the monitored traffic in a SPAN session are true? (Choose two.)

    A . You cannot configure two separate SPAN or RSPAN source sessions with separate or overlapping sets of SPAN source ports and VLANs
    B . By default, all monitored packets are captured without the IEEE 802.1Q tag
    C . Egress SPAN monitors packets sent by the source interface before any QoS modifcations
    D . Sources can be ports or VLANs or any combination in the same session
    E . By default, all monitored packets include the IEEE 802.1Q tag that they had on the source port
    F . Ingress SPAN monitors packets received by the source interface before any QoS modifications

    Answers B and F

    E is incorrect. Why?
    By default tags on the frames are not present when monitor an 802.1Q trunk.

    To mirror frames including the tags you need to specify ‘encapsulation’ option on the SPAN destination (e.g. monitor session 1 destination interface gig1/0/16 encapsulation replicate)

    Then you can see them. But this is NOT the default behaviour

    :)

    @BoxingSurfer

    I believe that is D, extended VLAN is not supported by version 1 and 2 even in transparent mode

  4. WEST
    February 14th, 2020

    VTP version 1 and VTP version 2 do not propagate configuration information for extended-range VLANs (VLAN numbers 1006 to 4094). You must configure extended-range VLANs manually on each network device.
    VTP version 3 supports extended-range VLANs (VLAN numbers 1006 to 4094). If you convert from VTP version 3 to VTP version 2, the VLANs in the range 1006 to 4094 are removed from VTP control.

    @WEST

    Sorry you are wrong about this. Extended VLAN are configurable in VTP Mode 1 or 2 perfectly fine but you need to be in Transparent mode to do it.

    i have tested this today in real hardware.

    If you have evidence that its wrong then please share it.

    @WEST

    please read carefully.

    “VTP version 1 and VTP version 2 do not propagate configuration information for extended-range VLANs..”

    -> yes this is corrent. VTP v1 and v2 do not propogate extended range VLANs.

    “You must configure extended-range VLANs manually on each network device…”

    -> here is the answer. This statement can be read as “use transparent mode and configure them on each device”

    Concur with BoxingSurfer – as the Q is written it is looking at configuration, not propagation.

    HI everyone! If i passed 300-135 last jan 14, 2020, can i take exam 300-115 as soon as possible? does it need 180 days gap?

  10. Switch
    February 14th, 2020

    @NeedHelp
    The 180 day gap only applies to retaking the same exam. I am not aware of any gap needed between the separate exams unless you fail one then its 5 days.

    Passed a couple of hours ago with a 9XX. I used the premium section of this site and 300-115 – Updated 1-09-2020 from a previous post in this forum. If you can pass each of the composite test you will have no problem passing. All the information needed is on this site.

    Same Labs as everyone else. LACP/HSRP/VTP

    1 D&D – TACACS vs Radius

    2 new questions

    Congrats well done! Curious on the VTPv3 sim if you followed the site or answered questions 3 and 4 differently. Another post said they did below. On the LACP lab was any other config needed like port channel and were the interface range commands allowed?
    VTPv3 Sim
    I answered the following:

    Q3) B Configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600 on SW1 only
    Q4) A Disable VTP pruning on SW1 only

  14. Passed Today
    February 14th, 2020

    @Switch.

    I answered exactly what is posted on this site. For the LACP lab, it allowed the range command and the trunk encap dot1q command only worked on one of them. Other than that I made all changes on the physical interfaces thats posted on this site.

    One the new questions was about what would be considered a TACACS client.
    router
    phone
    workstation
    something else

    I choose workstation, but it was probably the router.

    Just passed Switch 9xx. Finished CCNA/TSHOOT/ROUTE/SWITCH in 14 days…had to re certify after letting it expire but now I’m good for 3 more years, enough time to “feel” the next test out.

    I managed to get through about 1/2 of the composite quizzes in the premium section. Only saw 1-2 questions that were not in that bank of questions!

    LACP-STP
    HSRP
    VTPv3

    2 Drag and Drop that I forgot already.

    Thanks Certprepare for all the help, now it’s time for a long weekend!

    Hi Guys,

    Just passed the exam with 9xx mark.

    The Labs are all the same except HSRP wherein the question is asking if R1 interface Ethernet0/1 (conneting to R5) goes down. This confuses me on the exam as the interface Ethernet 0/1 does not have any standby configuration. Instead this interface only have an IP Address configured in it. What I choose is instead the default decrement value of HSRP which is 100.

    DND:

    TACACS / RADIUS
    Span Source and Destination
    ARP,Gateway,AVG and AVF
    CDP and LLDP
    PVST,RPVST,MST

    As for the MCQ, I found at least 4 questions that I did not encounter during my review. I will compose all the question that I can remember and post it in here later.

    God Bless and Goodluck to all those will take the exam.

    February 15th, 2020

    @Proton
    You mean default decrement value of 10 instead of 100

    Is normal?

    Pleze reply.

  27. Proton
    February 15th, 2020

    @Richard

    That is correct. The question pertains that what happens when Ethernet 0/1 shut and unshut (some sort of that kind of scenario) since there’s no priority indicated then the answer will be the priority will be back to 100

  28. cybernet
    February 15th, 2020

    @CCNP

    I din’t see AAAdot1x Lab Sim in the exam?
    Old question its from the sections 1-5 not 6 – 8.

  29. CCNPBound
    February 15th, 2020

    @proton – I think since that interface was being “tracked” in the configuration if it goes down the HSRP info on ETH0/0 will respond. Therefore I choose the same answer as in the lab, which was “the current status of the interface will add 40…….90 + 40 = 130.

    This one confused me for a min as well but 100 did not make any sense to me.
