3、You are adding new VLANs. VLAN500 and VLAN600 to the topology in such
way that you need to configure SW1 as primary root for VLAN 500 and
secondary for
VLAN 600 and SW2 as primary root for VLAN 600 and secondary for VLAN
500. Which configuration step is valid?
A. Configure VLAN 500 & VLAN 600 on both SW1 & SW2
B. Configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600 on SW1 only
C. Configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600 on SW2 only
D. Configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600 on SW1 ,SW2 and SW4
E. On SW2; configure vtp mode as off and configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600;
Does anyone know the answer? Some say A and other say B!!!
It has to be A
@Dan21
A network engineer is trying to prevent users from connecting unauthorized equipment to a production network. Which option can be campus-wide to satisfy this requirement?
A. IP Source Guard
B. switch port block
C. Uplink fast
D. private VLANs
E. BPDU Guard
Ans: A
BPDU guard will come if there is switch plug to port.
IP source guard will use for anything unauthorized workstation or ipad, etc etc
Which configuration do you apply to an interface so that it uses port security to learn and commit the first MAC address?
A. Configure the switchport switch-port security violation restrict 1 command.
B. Enable the sticky MAC addresses feature.
C. Enable the static secure MAC addresses feature.
D. Configure the switch for port-security aging type inactivity command.
E. Configure the switchport port-security maximum 1 command.
F. Disable the sticky MAC addresses feature.
B or E and why?
@Anonymous
The key command for this is E which allows the port to learn only 1 mac but it goes hand in hand with the sticky feature. Have the access port shutdown enable sticky and maximum 1 then no shut the port. It learns the only mac you want it to learn and adds it to running config so it won’t lose it.
@Switch,
So that means sticky is also right judging from your explanation…
Guys, I passed just now with 867 marks. It was easy. Actually I got 100% in Infrastructure services but only 72% in Layer 2 technologies, & 92% in Infrastructure Security. I feel i messed up in MEC,VTP,802.1Header etc. I got the below questions I have not seen before, or I could have missed.
show private vlans command?
commands to configure VRRP on Gi0/0
limitations of MEC
@Oneway,
Which sims did you get?
@oneway
Which dump you studied. Part 6,7,8 only or any other Extra
Dump?
Which VTP mode is needed to configure an extended VLAN, when a switch is configured to use VTP versions 1 or 2?
A. transparent
B. client
C. server
D. Extended VLANs are only supported in version 3 and not in versions 1 or 2.
What is the answer ????????????????? here said A, but I am pretty sure that is D, what do you think guys????????
Guard Root:
+ protect designated port from receiving superior BPDU
+ a better BPDU disables the port as err-disabled
Guard Loop:
+ port self recovery
+ detecting unidirectional switching links
Can someone validate? The certprepare dumps have different answers…
@West
Answer is A man. pretty sure. Transparent allows you to use extended vlans
@West
There is no way you can configure extended vlans in switch with vtp version 1&2, even in transparent mode.. you can try it on a lab if you’re still confused
Answer is D for sure
@Moe
answer is SW1 and SW2
