Dear @Certprepare, please update us with the newly added question, please add the “New Updated Questions Part 9” for premium members
“#AddNEwUpdatedQuestionsPart9”
need help for this question that have different set of answers for StackWise Virtual environment. I’ve been trying to understand how the three: control, mgmt and data planes work. As i understand data plane work separately from control and mgmt planes.
But still, they are all integrated on the common logical switch
kindly confirm
here’s my reference
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9500/software/release/16-6/configuration_guide/b_166_ha_9500/b_166_ha_9500_chapter_01.html
To be fair. I realized alot of the questions came from outside of new questions which are on this site.
There was a question on how a pc1 will take a path and I remember the diagram. It was PC connected to switch with priority of 32xx and had uplink to two other switches one with 1 gb and second with 10 gb link. The one toward 1 gb link had a lower priority of 24xx.
I picked that it take the 10 gb to reach the switch on question instead of going throw the 1 gb link and then 10 gb. Only thing was that switch had lower priority so it is the root bridge which mean it goes through that way.
The topology is question 5 from STP Questions 4.
Anyway know how pc1 will take the path to dsw1?
@noone0008943 I know that question, the tricky part here is you have to consider the total path cost to get to the core, just remember a 10gigs link has a path cost of 2 and a 1gig link has path cost of 4. but also remember If multiple paths are available to reach the Root Bridge (Root Switch) with the same accumulated Spanning Tree Path Cost in a Non-Root Switch, select the port connected to the neighbor switch which has the lowest Switch ID value as the Root Port.
question is Refer to the exhibit. DSW1 is connected to DSW2 with 10Gbps link and to ASW1 with 10Gbps link. DSW2 is connected to ASW1 with 1Gbps link. What is the path for traffic sourced from a PC connected to ASW1 to reach the Core?
@noone0008943
and can u tell me if you studied only the new updated 6,7,8 on this site or you studied the entire website?

Hello guys!
Passed right now, score 867. Got some D&D HSRP vs VRRP, all labs from this site, were HSRP simulator, LACP with STP simulator and VTP V3 simulator. a lot of new questions. Wish y’all tons of luck! See ya on TSHOOT!
Just got back from my exam – got almost 900points – LACP with STP, HSRP and VTP3 – in last one i went for what my guts were telling and in question 3 (regarding creating VLAN”s) went with answer to create them only on SW1. Got only one D&D (true and false with RSPAN – it’s in premium section) and literały no new question.
Word of advice – there is always at least 4 different answers in Cisco questions – which means that if you see a dump with only 2 answers listed, it means that there are at least two other answers on exam, which in turn makes you believe that you got a new question.
So rule of thumb is simple – never ever learn those damn questions by heart – you need to actually learn why provided answer is a good one.
Unfortunetly i won’t be able to finish my CCNP before 21st Feb, so will have to take new TSHOOT, from cisco page it seems it will not be to much different from current one as it’s still mainly Routing and Switching in contrast to ENCORE which is R&S, Wireless and several other things in one.

For the VTP sim, what did you pick for Q4 (configure PVLANs)? I can get behind you’re choice for Q3, do you remember if the VTP output actually says “Private Server” anywhere? Re. Q4 I keep going back and forth between disable pruning on SW1 and disable pruning on SW4.
@ Brian
please if you have ccnp security dumps, share it on your website.
thanks
